This qualification is equivalent to Year One and Two of a 3 year UK honours degree NQF Level 4 and 5.
The BTEC Higher National Diploma in Computing is available to students across the world, who wants to obtain an internationally recognised computing qualification that sets them on a path to successfully seek employment in the growing and exciting world of IT.
Edexcel
• At least one A level pass or equivalent or an appropriate school leaver’s certificate
For students whose first language is not English, the required standard on the programme is as follows:
• Level B1 of the Common European Framework (CEFR) or equivalent
• Below B2 of the Common European Framework (CEFR) or equivalent the student has to do pre-sessional English or EAP
The duration of the certificate and diploma are 12 months each.
The units are assessed using a variety of assignments, examinations, class based activities and presentations. Students' progress will be identified as fail, pass, merit or distinction.
