From 1st June 2013, interviewing will become part of the mandatory Tier 4 (General) visa application process in many countries.

The Programme gives learners the knowledge, understanding and skills that they need for managing organisation in dynamic business environment.

  • The enhancement of lifelong learning skills and personal development, so as to be able to work with self-direction and originality and to contribute to business and society at large.

Blake Hall Colleges welcomes students from Uruguay

Blake Hall Colleges was happy to welcome students from the Uruguayan Education Agency to its London campus. Ms Liliana Suarez and Ms Karenin Gambetta, the directors of the Uruguayan Education Agency and the English Garden Institute, accompanied their students to London to meet the management of Blake Hall College and to look into ways of further strengthening the ties that have been built up over the last 12 months.

 

HOME SECRETARY SPEECH ON IMMIGRATION

Yesterday the Home Secretary gave a speech on the government's immigration policy, and measures taken to deliver its commitment to reduce net migration and abuse, while still attracting the brightest and the best migrants. Speaking at Policy Exchange, the Home Secretary announced a number of changes that will help to build an 'immigration system that is in the national interest' including:

Post study work

The Home Secretary confirmed the government's desire to attract more world-class individuals with the knowledge and expertise that will drive leading research and economic growth. As a result, the government will add a further 1000 places a year for selected MBA graduates who want to stay in Britain and start up a business. Furthermore, in the future all PhD students who complete their studies will be allowed to stay here for longer to find skilled work or set up as an entrepreneur.

Student visas

The Home Secretary acknowledged the contribution that international students make to the academic, social and economic life of the UK. She reaffirmed that there is no cap on the number of international students able to come to study here, provided that they are genuine, and meet basic language and maintenance requirements.

 

QAA - Update

Blake Hall College has undergone a review for educational oversight by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) and is awaiting publication of its final report.

Professor Neil Garrod accepts to be Non-Executive Chair of the Blake Hall College Board of Governors

UoG visit from Dean of Business School:

UoGBlake Hall College was privileged to receive a visit from the recently appointed Dean of the Business School of the University of Greenwich, Mr Jon Sibson.

Opportunities of mutual interest were discussed as well as the possibility of adding further "top up" courses to the existing ones. A 3rd intake of the BA (Hons) Business Studies Top Up was agreed and Mr Sibson confirmed that Blake Hall College is the only private college in the UK that is a partner college of the Business School at the University of Greenwich.

Edexcel NQF Level 7 Extended Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership with Work placement:

In order to enhance the employability of Blake Hall College students, we have now decided to offer our very popular Edexcel NQF Level 7 Extended Diploma In Strategic Management And Leadership with a maximum of 33.3% to 50% Work Placement.

The work placement will be a part of the curriculum and will be assessed by lecturers, therefore ensuring that the student will have relevant work experience in UK. This goes with the current ethos of Blake Hall College, where we endeavour to increase the employability of the student. The course will be in line with all the UKBA rules and regulations.

 

University of Greenwich has now extended our accreditation:

Representatives from the University of Greenwich visited Blake Hall College last month to check the quality of service, provision and student experience together with the academic progression of our students. We are happy to announce that BHC successfully passed all elements of the inspection and the University of Greenwich has now extended our accreditation for BA (Hons) Business Studies (top-up) to 2015 and for BSc (Hons) Computing (top-up) to 2016.
